The Next General Election

As I said, we're all different. As soon as you set a "model" of what each of us should be, you start excluding some.

The examples you give are not of Transsexuals.

If you sincerely think that there is no such thing as a "woman" or a "man"

Or that a person can change from one to the other by saying four words

Then you live in a world of fantasy.

So it’s not a label then is it ?

If a person who is an actual woman wears a T Shirt proclaiming herself to be a woman, and reminding the ignorant or deluded what a "woman" is

Then it can be a label

Just as much as if you wore a cap saying "bus driver."

But it is expressing neither a preference nor a gender.

They might be wearing it ironically.

It’s not a label, unless you are labelling them. That’s a different story.

JohnD, I've copied your posts into a new thread.
I don't want to give gant the satisfaction of intentionally diverting a political thread into a discussion about trans-sexuality, and I don't think the subject should be a political football.
I see it as more of a religious or philosophical football than political.

Typical himmy gets a thread bogged down in treacle. My point originally was about teaching kids hardly out of infants about all the different sexual connotations and would Starmer carry on where Sunak left off if he loses the election. Obviously it is political quite an easy simple discussion but himmy likes to get into the minutiae resulting in it getting bogged down in treacle
Your comments might have been reasonable and fair, except they weren't.
To be fair Vinty first raised the issue in the context of this thread. But you persisted in making silly comments

None of us have a direct line to the Shadow Cabinet, so all we have to go on is exactly the same as you, if you'd bothered to look., instead of asking silly and obviously leading questions:

Labour’s education mission: all you need to know

Sex education isn't introduced until the children are between 11 and 15, so your "hardly out of infants" is typical of your use of language.

In school pupils are taught all sorts of things, I bet the majority of the things they are taught, they will never encounter, but that doesn't mean they don't need to know.

You saying Starmer doesn't flip flop, what phrase do you coin for it then.

He'd have to have a mind of his own first in order to do that, so he'll just have to carry on relying on Blair to keep pulling his strings till that day he can think for himself.
The position does compromise him in interviews lol.

You saying Rishi doesn't flip flop?
Aren't they all the same in saying what you want to hear and once elected ripping up their manifestos.
I don't vote obviously for the reasons I've just outlined. I live in hope one day enough people are as like minded as me and it will result in effecting change.
You waiting to read each parties manifestos before you vote or your minds made up?
You will be voting won't you?

I'm saying what Starmer said isn't what the headline said

You are trying to say they are the same, but different too .

Voting yes. For change. I don't like what we've got.

Don't know of any other way to change anything. Do you? But I've asked you that before and you went quiet
