Timber Gable - gap between studs and vertical tiles

Just in case anyone reads this and was wondering what I ended up doing... I put in the 'double' set of studs, from my post 2 Mar 2024.

The external studwork was popped on to a new wall plate (with DPM). SE and BC all very happy. I'm happy with the results, even if I'm behind schedule and budget having doubled up on the stud walls. This does give me a whole lot of space to add more insulation tho.

It’s interesting I've come across this, as I'm currently in the same situation.
Ive built my timber frame internal wall, and was going to block and rend the outside skin, but circumstances have changed, I’m thinking of timber framing and cladding The outside now. Bonus is, I can do this myself rather than have to pay a trade. (Budget is very tight)
Do you have any photos of how you got on? My concern is having it overhanging the wall below.
95mm plate, 11mm osb, 25mm batten, 25mm cross batten, cladding = 167mm - so sticking out 67mm further.
