Fluidmaster instructions say that the critical level mark on the inlet valve body should be 25mm above the overflow. I can't put it in to words but that doesn't seem correct to me. If it is correct can someone explain why.

So the inlet does not become submerged below water. Just to give clearance from the inlet to outlet, the overflow.
