I've bought a kitchen trolley/island that I’ve painted up and changed the top for a piece of quartz but I’m wondering how to fix the top to the trolley. Glue? Mastic? Any ideas?

The CT1 or OB1 stuff is pretty good at that kind of job and i would lay a bead around the centre of the perimeter frame and also a small splodge on those angle brackets as it will squealch through the hole and you can smooth it off on the underside. The weight of the quartz will ensure it gets a good bond.

Thanks. It’s not just to rest on - as it’s a trolley with two wheels, I will be lifting it up by the overhanging quartz lip to wheel it about. Will it be strong enough and not pull apart?

I would say the OB1 is a very capable adhesive and you can stick mirrors to the wall with no additional fixings thanks to the very high initial grab strength of it. Both products are very similar in performance but well worth you reading a few reviews on them for a wider opinion.
