Southport murderer pleads guilty

And there are too few of them.

Massive cutbacks, saved some money at the time, but has cost us all more because of it.

Some will point out some police have been recruited, but fail to recognise that we lost some very experienced people and replaced them with inexperienced beginners.

False economy. But there again, I support law and order, and am happy paying for it.

To
Much red tape in the job now

Arrest some drunk on a Friday night probably causes hours of paper work / form filling

Lack of respect for the police

A lot of the grief could be sorted by old fashioned police standards

Kick up the arris

And a smack around the ear

This country is drowning in beurocracy and pencil pushing paper shufflers

Teaching profession no different teachers having to deal with gobby ill
Mannered Ferrell children

None of that is helped by reduced and lesser experienced officers.

We are now suffering because of the previous cutbacks. A false economy it was.

It also says....

These changes will ensure that the police and other responsible bodies retain the ability to investigate and pursue individuals suspected of stealing goods, of any value, fromshops.

But you've also gone quiet on the cutbacks. They seemed to tie in with this legislation. Is that why it was necessary ?

In other news, I'm delighted that you and Denso agree with me that the sharp rise in shoplifting is not a result of poverty as Notch said.

Where has that been said? Another fillyfact

It's definitely a factor, or are you disputing it ?

Now lets get back to your link, and the reduction in police numbers that appeared to have brought it on

Sadly that’s related to the increase in poverty.

With 4.8 million suffering food poverty and 6.0 million suffering fuel poverty…..increases in shoplifting are gonna happen.

I'm not saying poverty isn't a contributing factor in some cases, but the major increase in shoplifting coincides with the decision by police to not respond where the value of stolen goods is less than £200

FO you troll.

Rich people have poor people do the shoplifting for them, surely?

Here's summat I read...

"...An improvement in police recording offences, together with more victims coming forward and changes in data to include new offences have made "substantial contributions to rises in recorded crime", the ONS said...."

FO troll.
Not me trolling though is it. You posted a link that didn't support what you claimed. That's fillyfacts.

Back to your link about shoplifting and the reduction in police numbers.

Can you address it ?

You don't like standing up for law and order do you.

Sentencing now underway.

Apparently the piece of scum can't be given WLT due to current sentencing guidelines, he was just below the age threshold.

Talking now on Politics Live re do the guidelines need reviewed.

Serbia??? How wide are you casting you net? :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: I was thinking more Poland, CZ.

Though Serbia doesn't fit my criteria anyway, as it's 5% muslim, whereas the central European countries are virtually zero % muslim.
There's a reason you won't find this in eastern and central european cities
Serbia,[c] officially the Republic of Serbia,[d] is a landlocked country at the crossroads of Southeast and Central Europe
