I'm with Virgin Media. Received an email from them yesterday advising EuroSport will cease broadcasting in the UK end of February. Offering me TNT at no cost for the 'remainder of my contract' if I sign up within x days, however not sure what this actually means for me as I'm no longer in a promotional period or anything, so in a sense I think I'm already out of contract. I would need to monitor my monthly invoice to look for when they start charging me for it. I think Virgin will be charging £18. Looking online, I see TNT can be had for free with certain SIM deals or at a reduced price. I think full price is ~£30 per month.

Although I love using EuroSport for the snooker and sometimes watch snippets of other sports on there, I don't know if I'll bother. Lots of folk p1ssed off, calling it nothing more than milking consumers for even more £££ and in a sense further subsidising the larger sports e.g. football.

Haven't watched that for years - used to be fun in the 90s, like an extended Transworld Sport in the 80s on C4, but later on all you could could was skiing. Endless skiing and weird motorsport, like racing Morris Marina's across a frozen glacier or extreme Ironing. I don't watch enough sport these days to justify the outrageous cost of a regular subscription, as the highlights are enough to get the gist - apart from the Six Nations, which is still free-to-air, thankfully. Has been a seasonal ritual since the days of David Duckham to watch that tournament.

Yeah quite a few folk online saying all this will do is steer more people towards using things like that.
About this time last year, I left Virgin as their prices just kept going up and up (most other BB providers are the same). Leaving them meant I had to ditch my Tivo type box, which was a great product. I ended up going with Community Fibre (not as good as Virgin) for BB, but no TV. Ended up getting a Humax Aura 2TB Freeview recorder, not a bad bit of kit and I'm sure you can download apps onto it as it is Android powered. I bought this and a new Panasonic TV for less than the amount of money I saved leaving Virgin.

I'm currently around £98 a month for my Virgin broadband (up to 250), tv and landline. Not sure what tv package I'm on as they seem to rebrand them, however I think it's the middle one.

I don't look on this as too much given I WFH, so my broadband is being used more than ever with the tv on in the background ... purely to help me concentrate you understand :)

Is that a rolling contract or a fix? I forgot about my last fix expiring, and it jumped up to £75 a month. But they halved it when I went for an 18 month fix.

It's rolling now. To be fair to them I've had one or two emails saying I can contact them to see if there's a better deal for me. I might call their 'so you're thinking of leaving us' number this year to see what they can do for me price wise.

That's what I did. Didn't need to haggle, they just offered me it straight away.

Will it still be broadcast in Europe?
Yes, in france the basic sub will be 59,99€ for Discovery then 5€ a month for Eurosport, can't just get Eurosport on its own anymore

It's a real shame cause it's great for snooker and other niche / lesser watched sports.

I’m paying £25 a month for line rental and broadband (Vodafone 150 although I only get around 90 which is plenty fast enough for me). No other subscriptions other than a VPN around £2 a month and RealDebrid also around £2 a month but I can watch just about anything I want on any channel.

slightly related i was paying tenner a month for Now tv hardly watch it so cancelled it online last week came straight back £3.99 a month for 6 months. yeah for the odd thing she watches on it accepted it
