Is it any wonder kids minds are fecked?

It comes down to any level-headed person not being comfortable with this. Not just (real) men, but (real) women too e.g. mum's who don't want men using the same facilities as their young daughters. Or (real) women not wanting to share facilities themselves with trans women or some random man who's decided to throw a dress on and call himself a woman so he can go into these spaces.
This is the issue though, you're writing 'real' infront of 'men' and 'women' as if there are two types; a real type and faux type. In my mind, there is only biological sex which is reality and gender is subjective and made up. I don't care what people wear or call themselves.

They have swimming lessons for kids, thats about it. it's a bit cheaky really, since they charge a membership and then allow non-members to use the facilities. But teaching kids to swim is a good thing.

It's all pretty much based on materialistic gendered stereotypes

Could you explain in laypersons terms what that means? I have already googled but it's beyond me.

Can you explain very simply what that means? I have already googled but it's beyond me.
There are loads of examples on the Internet of different people who call themselves 'trans' performing gendered stereotypes.

And what does the materialistic bit mean in this context?

Not playing your drilling down game MNW67.

I am not playing any sort of game, drilling down or otherwise. I am simply having a discussion where information is mutually exchanged. I was asking you to explain a technical phrase I don't understand. I can guarantee there is not a single other person on this board knows what "materialistic gendered stereotypes" are. It reminds me of trying to have discussions with feminists many years ago and trying to read up about 17 different types of feminism. There are several examples on this forum where I have explained concepts which I know a lot about for others who don't have the same knowledge or experience.

It is a style of persistent questioning where you assume yourself as the inquisator.

It was a mis-type. I meant to type 'materialist'. Regardless, you are bright enough to work it out.

I know this subject, it's been in the ffing news almost every week for at least the last 5 years! Most people who have been paying attention grasp the nuts and bolts of it. What is different is what side you take in it.

What side do you take?

Sorry, I didn't realise it was a typo. I still don't understand it, but I am happy to leave it there.

I don't think I do that. But I suppose in my former life being forensic was a large part of my day.

I have said before in this thread that I like J K Rowling's views on this topic.

Yes, in YOUR mind there is only biological sex and gender is subjective, that's part of the issue. Someone might be a biological male but consider themselves female.

The whole thing's a joke and because of our increasingly woke society, we can't call it out for what it is.

Yeah I get that. I think we are pretty much singing from the same hymn sheet. What we might disagree on is the solution. To me it's about feasibility. What appears to be happening is everything is getting changed into mixed sex facilities to appease a tiny proportion of the population whilst the majority gets given not much of a say in it. This is pretty wrong in my mind.

Let's take young girls. Is it reasonable to expect parents to be comfortable watching their young daughter head into a gender neutral toilet (because although she's young she's old enough to go to/from the toilet herself) only to then see grown up men walk in immediately after her?

It's wrong, end of.

Are mixed sex toilets just rows of stalls i.e. no urinals? I've never seen one.

Of course it's wrong. I'm confused as to why you think I think it isn't?

When you say 'gender neutral' do you mean unisex or something else?
