Check if the bulb holder is alligned properly.Hi. When putting lightbulb in when current is live, it flickers for a fraction of a second then no light. Any ideas how to fix?

@Cowboy_Craig - can you get a decent closeup of the fixture so we can see inside? My guess is one of the clips that holds the bulb in is probably broke.

So it could be the pullcord, loose connection or broken batten holder. One day a few days ago I pulled the chord and there was no light. I've tried working bulbs from other light fittings and new bulbs, they all flicker for a fraction of a second then go off permanently.

Go to to be one of the other 2 then surely. - pullcord or loose connectionHolding the bulb firmly doesn't have any effect. It remains off.
