Vance will say whatever keeps him in power. He used to say Trump was "America's Hitler". But he is a clever man and is extremely skilled at arguing, twisting the truth and apportioning blame. A lot of people fall for that and I can actually see why. He reminds me very much of Jordan Peterson in those respects.

I am purely going on what I see. Our Government says and talks a good game with very little action. Trump says the same but then actually does what he says.

Well I always considered Trump as a bit of a crank and Vance a bit of a typical politician climbing his way up. I now see them as a pair who believe in what they say.

His emphasis on "freedom" and "free speech" is a little ironic given the values of the European far right and Pootin that he appear to value more than democracy. He is smart, but I am not sure how clever he is.

Most politicians are the same, they'll flip flop in any direction if the situation requires it. Look at Mandelson and Lammy and their change of heart re Trump
