Yet another asylum seeker says 'Thank you' in their own special way to the country that accepted them

It is not an insignificant amount of time to spend behind bars.

If you said you wouldn't miss your freedom for that length of time, I wouldn't believe you.
Based on your viewpoint, why not give 'em 6 months? I'm sure most of us would miss our freedom for that length of time. Heck, even a week banged up could be tough. Yeah, give 'em a week.

There was a TV program, about it on Channel 4 yesterday evening, where several illegals were chatted with, hoping to make the crossing. It showed graphically, the conditions they were living in, over in the EU, and the reason they wanted to risk their lives to get here, was abundantly clear....

If we forced them to live in the comparable conditions here, they wouldn't be quite so keen.
The wokes wouldn't allow it Harry, we even have a few of 'em on here. They would rather put them up in luxury, all at the taxpayers expense of course. Who cares if their applications take years to process, we can't have 'em living in anything but luxury with three square meals a day, free healthcare etc.

Welcome to Britain, come one come ALL!!!

I'm not the one who reckons almost five years is an easy stretch am I?

That'll be you.

Pizz-poor attempt at deflecting from your own bullshittery. (y)

Do one.

Anyone who thinks a sentence of <5 years is adequate for these pieces of scum is evidently on the woke train.

its odd how you keep making these claims..........yet you cant provide any evidence

oh thats right.....................you just made it up, its rancid BS

Strawman.

Would YOU shrug off a five stretch?
What ARE you blethering about?

Your lightbulb assertion is, because the average (honest) man/woman on the street would find spending a few years inside tough, this somehow equates to the sentences being proportionate?

This is you speaking with a woman on the bus:

You're looking a bit low if you don't mind me saying?
Yes, I've just been to the cemetery.
Oh dear, sorry to hear that. A loved one?
Yes, my 5 year old daughter.
Oh my goodness. If you feel comfortable to say, what took her?
A speeding motorist. Mounted the pavement and hit her.
Ah, I see. I'm so sorry.
Yes, the police say he was doing approx. 70mph in a 30mph zone.
Ah right, shocking.
Yes, he was also four times the drink drive limit and had significant levels of cocaine in his system.
Terrible, absolutely terrible.
The whole thing is breaking my heart. Not least because he only got sentenced to seven years in prison.
Right I see, you don't think the sentence reflects what he did?
Absolutely not. Seven years for taking my daughters life?
I get your point. However what you need to ask yourself is this. Would you not find seven years in prison difficult to cope with?

The world according to Brigadier ...

If you're oblivious to the fact hotels, some of them very nice hotels, have been used to house migrants, then maybe do some Googling.

No wait, you don't want to know cause it'll burst the woke bubble you're living in.

All aboard the woke train, choo choooooo!!!

[1] Please do attempt to explain, why we provide them with comfortable living, often in hotels rooms, their meals, and a little pocket money - whilst many of our own, sleep on the streets?

[2] Please attempt to explain, why they are treated so badly whilst in the EU, forced to live in tents, constantly moved on, and harassed by the authorities.

[3] Please try to explain why you think those living as per [2], would not be willing to risk there lives, crossing the Channel on an inflatable, to get to [1]

[1] is the obvious attraction, and the reason for all these deaths in the Channel. Let them live in freezing cold tents when they get here, and they will stop risking their lives.

But who is saying it's wanted and good ?

Because we are a humane country, like the vast majority of our neighbours. Most are fleeing persecution and deserve our help.
whilst many of our own, sleep on the streets?
Different problem, with different causes which need addressed.

They aren't forced to live in tents. Some don't apply for asylum as they are passing through.
Please try to explain why you think those living as per [2], would not be willing to risk there lives, crossing the Channel on an inflatable, to get to [1]
They aren't doing it because of 2, they are doing it because they want to reach the UK because of things like language and family.
is the obvious attraction, and the reason for all these deaths in the Channel. Let them live in freezing cold tents when they get here, and they will stop risking their lives.
Nonsense.

Don't waste your time Harry, they won't answer, they're too busy enjoying the scenery as they go round and round on the woke train.

Choo choooo, next stop transville.

You absolute throbber, tell you what, how about this, everyone in this country has a national vote, those wishing to keep these illegal economic migrants declare via voting, you then pay to support these people through YOUR taxes to keep them through a supplement tax, people who don't will pay standard tax rate.

They are costing us £4billion a year we are not a charity. You want to be? Fine put your hand in your pocket.
