More 'socialist' Labour bods caught with their snouts in the trough.

Blair ingratiated himself with the left of the party to get elected.
It doesn’t make him a socialist…..anybody paying attentions knows Blairites are the right wing of the Labour Party

Every day is a school day for Mottie the Reform boy

Poor Mottie screams “socialist” at everything and thinks that makes for useful political debate :ROFLMAO:
20 minutes after you had gone "gone off out to the garden" you’re still posting. It’s eating you up this lying and swerving, isn’t it? I merely stated that Tony Blair said he was a socialist. Your post questioned it. I proved it. You went all soppy and swerved again. No change. Try thinking before you post in future.

Blair was not a socialist.

That’s just a fact

You can keep arguing against facts if you want…..I’m sitting on my patio with a fantastic espresso from the freshly roasted coffee beans I got from cworks.co.uk and an almond croissant

Blair was not a socialist in any sense of the traditional meaning, he redefined what socialism was then said he a socialist, hence the term Blairism.

Socialism is the social ownership of the means of production.

Its the same as redefining a zebra by saying any donkey is a zebra if you paint black and white stripes on it.

I haven't looked into the sums, but it's pretty amazing what post war govs did when the country must have been in dire economic condition

Top rate/Supertax was something like 19s 11d in the pound, George Harrison wrote a song about it

Fact? He admitted it. You better tell him he was wrong then. Either that or just keep swerving, being soppy and changing the subject.
He claimed it, not admitted it....there's nothing socialist about Blair

He said he was a socialist to try and keep the left of the party on board

And he re wrote clause 4 as well.....not that you have even heard of it.

It's still lovely and sunny out in the garden, I'm cutting back the Rosemary.

Oh god yes I remember that. 1 for me 19 for you... 95%, and you could even have to pay over 100% They reduced it and got vastly more tax in. Mick Jagger went to France!

That was the change from old labour to new labour, and you find the text on the back of your labour party membership card, I believe. Amazingly I don't have one.

The Labour Party is a democratic socialist party. It believes that by the strength of our common endeavour we achieve more than we achieve alone, so as to create for each of us the means to realise our true potential and for all of us a community in which power, wealth and opportunity are in the hands of the many, not the few, where the rights we enjoy reflect the duties we owe, and where we live together, freely, in a spirit of solidarity, tolerance and respect.

and mine from 1972.

To secure for the workers by hand or by brain the full fruits of their industry and the most equitable distribution thereof that may be possible upon the basis of the common ownership of the means of production, distribution and exchange, and the best obtainable system of popular administration and control of each industry or service.

Hmm, I read those things three times, and see nothing but waffle and nonsense.
