There's no need for a ground war, just give Ukraine what they need to properly defend themselves.

They haven't got the man power to give them what they need, no point supplying 300 attack helicopters if they only have 5 pilots, likewise with the rest of the equipment.

And they can afford to but their own, given the natural resources they have….

I did read that they are often using the existing equipment in the wrong way. Using lost of very expensive weapons when they aren't actually required. I can't remember the exact details now because I have largely switched off from it.

Exactly my point. You cannot simply arm them in that way.
 
It is becoming more difficult, we should have armed them at the start and it wouldn't have lasted this long.
Well that is an arguable point, but then politics played the part of not wanting the involvement.
