Hi
I have a separate toilet and bathroom in my home built around 1968.

The toilet has a normal switch on the wall, no pull cord, but the light fitting is a small waterproof globe. I guess the original fitting was a pendant that has been replaced at some point, given the original wall switch is not a cord?

My question is can I put a pendant light fitting back, or does a toilet only room with no was basin still need an IP rated fitting?

Thanks

Yes - anything you want.

A toilet is just a room like any other even with a basin - assuming you could not stand in it.

Everything has an IP rating even if it is IP00.
