I'm going OT but it's sentencing related. We should have an 'x times and you're out' rule when it comes to convictions. I watched a tv prog a few weeks back, druggie broke in to an old guys house, tied him up, killed him. Yes, he got a decent sentence (30 years minimum or something) however he had something like 28 previous convictions for house-breaking and associated crimes. Had been doing it since his teens.
It simply shouldn't be possible to reach that number of convictions for such crimes and still be free.
