Ssssssshhhhhh, don't mention Reform.

so lets just agree that the OU is a joke
Open University is just a different way to learn, it’s distance learning.

It’s done by people who might have full time jobs or are a mother perhaps.

It requires a lot of commitment.

I am sorry but calling it a joke is demeaning

That’s not really true though is it.

I am genuinely pleased for you that you enjoy your job and I find the images you post about it interesting.
And I’m sure you are a really decent guy.

But your endless boasting, saying how great you are and how you know everything…..is frankly cringeful , it lacks dignity. Please stop, you are making a fool of yourself.
As you say that you find it interesting, that is my point of doing it. Where else can you find my content and insight into something that you take for granted without giving it too much thought. I think interesting content is good for a forum in a general discission section. I showed some secret lighting that is revolutionary never seen anywhere else. I have shown fibre optic technology and wifi along with how do you get wifi on. your phone in the streets. If you find this a bit cringe worthy I am sorry but I enjoy my job and will continue to show it at the expense of me being classed as a bulb changer.

it is more demeaning by stating the OU is higher ranked than Hulll University too. I have the upmost respect for anyone trying to better themselves through education and qualification, but you cannot pull people down for attaining a place at a University who has worked and studied to earn a place in such an establishment.

Yes distance learning can be the only alternative for some and in that context it all depends on the subject being studied as to wether or not it is viable. From a computer science degree stance, there really is no comparrison due to the fact of facilities and level of hands on experience you get from these facilities.

Like British flagged vessels blockading small boats in French territory. They might as well pop over and prevent them leaving shore, eh.
Paying the French millions to wave them bon voyage and look the other way isn’t working.

It’s not worth nothing that is true.

A bit like you claiming black is white for 30 odd pages

The simple fact is that British vessels can not pick up migrants or rescue migrants in French or English waters and drop them in France.

If they could, they would be doing it already.

You have shown examples of lamp posts you have worked on, replacing and/or cleaning lamps etc.

What aspect of your work assignments involves software engineering ?
We program wifi towers to gateways in order to communicate with our aerials. We also install police cameras for data retrieval and monitoring purposes. You have obviously not seen my work that I have posted other than my replacing lamps, cleaning lamps after doing maintenance work on them is just part and parcel of the job, a bit like sweeping up after yourself at the end of a job. There is no such thing as a light cleaning job, perhaps 60 years ago when street lighting was powered by gas there was a call for this as a job. Why do you ask?

Not many of those left nowadays. I think London is the only place where there are any, Sheffield had one but I am sure it got converted.
