I have made many from SW waste pipe, especially when faced with an odd configuration. I've even use the smaller 32mm in some situations without any problems, although some did need a handmade hemp gromet to make a tight seal. Yes, I did say a hemp gromet and that's because in my day it was all part of thinking on your feet. How long ago was this? It was when pans had the flush pipe collar that needed a flush cone to make the joint.
