Hi, can anyone signpost me to where I can buy this type of T handle socket wrench, or tell me the name to use to find this type of socket? The generic title just brings up hex sockets or other ones which are different to the shape shown in the image.

Thanks in advance

The product description shows that it grips to the flat faces rather than the corners- much like the image that you posted.

My ½" socket set has a T-bar and a number of different length extension pieces. If I wanted to go and buy 6-point sockets instead of 12-point, I could easily do so.

Edit - just looked again at the OP - I'd assumed that opps was responding to evdamadiynot who looked to have been suggesting a regular socket set with regular 12-point sockets.

Neither I nor Munroast spotted at first that this

is not for a hex head.

It looks a bit like a Bristol head, or more likely 6-point fluted, but they're all female heads which use a driver like this:

and you want the reverse.

What do the people selling the tool you showed call it, and why can't you just buy it/them?

Yeah my bad. I was recommending this

It’s a Ribe drive. They can come in sockets or splines.
Possibly.

But if the Wikipedia drawing is accurate, it's not quite the same:

Bristol is also not quite it?
