I have a few 18v Milwaukee items (drill, batteries, and charger), but require a new combi drill. However, the price for a body only drill is only a few quid cheaper than buying a kit with charger, 2x spare 4a batts, and a case.

I was thinking of buying the kit and selling the bits I don't need. Is there a market for doing this, or will I get wrapped up in the fake verse's genuine debate and end up with a load of Milwaukee items that I dont require.

As a borderline chronic hoader I would keep the spares regardless but as a well balanced normal person you may find they would be handy further on down the line.

Yes definitely a market if you use Facebook Marketplace or eBay, I wouldn't waste time with Gumtree. People sometimes buy blank drills etc so need the rest.

What would be an acceptable price to sell the 18V 4.0Ah Li-Ion Batteries for? I doubt the standard slow charger would get much as they're are already cheap online.

Say 2/3 of what they'd be new, a few quid for the charger or offer them all separately. I would include a photo of the receipt (you can blank out the price) then people know they're brand new.

Thanks for the feedback, that has helped me decide. Will now start looking.

What batteries do you already have
They don’t last forever
Dad I may be worth keeping the new ones
I have 5 batteries and loads of Dewalt cordless I find it easy just to have the batteries on the tools as I use them so often end up with 4 batteries on tools

I have a couple of 5amp batts which are more than enough for me. Along with the fast charger, if I did fully use one (which to date I haven't), they fully charge in the time it takes me to have a coffee break.

I have it noted down. Will sort it all out after I return from a well deserved holiday.
Think of me while you're away. Id love to give your Batteries a good home.

I hope you have a wonderful holiday and get everything you wish for.. and everything i wish for..

I ended up getting a deal on a Gen2 Brushless naked combi for £79. I wouldn't achieved that price selling off batts and charger from the kit. Plus I would have only secured a brushed combi drill. So no batts I'm afraid.
