That is entirely untrue, no vehicle is going to 'save the planet' regardless of what fuel it uses.
There are other reasons for having an electric vehicle.

For the vast majority of people EV ownership is simply not practical or cheap.

Well off people buy or lease evs to save money AND think of the lost revenue to HM treasury. Another black hole in the making

The socket?

13A socket... STRONG advise is not to do so regularly/ Emergency use. Max 10A 2.4kW per hour. Plugs and sockets can overheat.

That's why EVSEs are fitted... safer and designed for the higher currents (plus other safety factors)... Read up more rather than asking random questions.

Do they?

Dunno. Depends on how near your shops are.

My locals shops (ignoring the village Inconvenience Post Office that's closing shortly for a many week refurbishment) are 3 miles or so... That'd be around 1kWh there and 1kWh back.

But my car has a 69kWh battery... 66kWh usable... Most EV drivers rarely let the charge drop below 20%. {Nor charge to more than 80%, although my maker say 90%, unless going on a long journey shortly after.}

However you've obviously done absolutely no research and reading up on EVs... so Google and do some reading of the Car Mags etc.,.

ALL these questions are answered with more / better explanation as to why than I can do... In fact it's where I have got the above answers from.
It would be kWh in an hour - NOT kW.

Aaargh!!!! Waning powers strikes again...

But if it is to be corrected then it should be both Ah and kWh per hour, should it not.

Not really.

Especially if you are worried about the plug overheating.

100A will likely overheat the plug but using 100A for 6 minutes is also 10Ah and 2.4kWh (at 240v)

I have nothing against electric cars, I own one.
But all jokes aside, there are three things wrong with the top car,

The brand

The model

The colour.

And, as has been said, none of those prices are a give-away.

One of my neighbours has a (petrol) Fiat 500 Abarth. Bright yellow.

Looks and sounds like a fun little thing.

Misreading again?
No, not I.

But I'll make a small change to put in the words I omitted on the assumption* that people would not misread a common way of conversing in English.

Afraid not. You cannot have 2.4kW per hour.
No, you cannot, but you could have 2.4kW for an hour, i.e. don't draw 10A for more than an hour or the socket will overheat.

* Silly me.
