The Israeli army are just doing a jdifficult job and from a military prospective they are a very respected army, I do not agree with the videos of them posted parading around in some poor sods underware and wrecking their homes. I suspect that thesee are new conscripts who have not undergone a full and proper training regime yet because they have been drafted too soon. I cannot accept any reason for them in acting like this on or off camera. They have brought shame on the Israeli army and acted like a bunch of thugs. These are indeed war crimes and they will be identified and dealt with accordingly. No excuses no explanation to how this has happened or been allowed to happen. There must have been NCOs or experienced soldiers who should have shut this behavior down.

You are describing a 'rabble' which is basically describes any conscripted army these days.
Zero discipline, zero leadership, zero conscience.

Waving it off as conscripts is bullshit. They've got a professional NCO and Officer corps. They choose to allow that rather than nailing offenders and their COs to the wall.

Of course they have, but the video clip shown was only a handful of soldiers, young and inexperienced, you cannot condemn a full army from the actions of so few.

Correct, although the Israeli army is better than what has been shown. A handfull of idiots that need locking up.

If it were one event, no, but it is endemic. At a point it stops being bad apples and it starts being a rotten barrel.

The power of an open press can change opinions and policies...

That's why israel keeps them out...

So that the War crimes can go on without interruption and without fear of repercussions...

But hey, you support israel which is committing those war crimes so you're probably happy to keep it 'out of sight, out of mind'!

Added to that there will be a lot of right wing settlers in the IDF...

They happily go around murdering and ethnically cleansing the West bank on an almost daily basis...

Because they (and many other 'normal' israelis) believe that Palestinians (and indeed all Arabs) are 'untermensch'...

And that their imaginary friend promised them the land that they are slowly ethnically cleansing!

If you are in a war the last thing the military want is a load of journalists wandering around Willy nilly

Vietnam Jesus journalists were running riot go any where any time the US army never got to grips with the caper and it caused them a lot of damage !!

I recall the falklands apparently it took longer for any official news reports to get from there to the Uk than it took news to travel back to the UK during the Crimean war in 1800 and some thing

Granted it may be a p***er but the
Fact is one needs to be able to control the news / propaganda
