A TV film you haven't seen (Israel's extermination of Palestinian healthcare)

You seem very keen to find excuses for war crimes.
Well I am not trying to find any excuses, I am merely pointing out that what a human rights lawyer makes of a war which is different to what a soldier sees as a war crime is very different. Not in all cases but in some.

No one makes the IDF dress as medical personnel, storm a hospital and execute a patient.
So at best minion was being economical with the facts and at worst he is spreading lies and hamas propaganda

I am gobsmacked how anyone can defend war crimes and the killing of so many civilians.
In a war situation where split second life or death decisions have to be made, do you think it fair to put a soldier in a position that would or could comprimise his safety by worrying over what might or might not be construde as a war crime. That is a big ask.

You said, for one, that dressing up as doctors is contrary to international law?

They assassinated a patient in his hospital bed. Split second my arse.

Yes dressing up as anyone who is supposed to be a help is a war crime, but I would suggest in a Hospital that water is very muddy

Lets call it an assasination rather than an execution, does that sound better?

So it would be ok if the patient pulled out a pistol from under the sheets and shot the soldier?
You really are scraping the barrel. By that logic they should just kill everyone they meet, in case they have a gun

You are being silly now. OK so let us assume this patient is a hamas fighter which is what the IDF claim him to be. A soldier will sleep with his weapon, the chances are he would have had a pistol under his pillow. If he realised the Dr and nurse was an IDF soldier do you think he would have shot them first? Split second decision needed.

How do you know he was an injured patient? What if the hamas fighter was pretending to be an injured patient and was laid waiting as he has heard the IDF was looking for him in the hospital. Once again split second decision required, its you or him.
