Tennis.

Raducanu is so slim that is never going to have the power. Even though she strikes the ball beautifully. She did the best with what she has. Frustrated the world No 1 and forced her to make loads of mistakes.
That's the best I've seen her play for a while, she's only young so maybe one day...

I would suggest that she gets some training in a cherry picker to strengthen her legs and arms

You are all looking at a different person, Emma has very strong physique. Great game and real signs she is capable of winning again.

I think she has amazing natural talent. Fantastic speed, reflexes and footwork and she strikes the ball beautifully. She can also adapt and work out how to frustrate and break down other players mentally. The only thing she is missing is huge natural power. She has worked extremely hard and has put on a lot of muscle, but she just isn't inherently as powerful as many of the top players.

Her coach disagrees. He admits that she doesn't have the power of most of the top players.
It’s not a body building competition, she has the strength to beat top players

Raducanu is saying that she struggled quite a lot because her racquets weren't strung tight enough. It sounds like she and her team hadn't accounted for the change in conditions with the roof closed. I noticed that she kept swapping racquets. She says she had two restrung mid match but it sounds like they still weren't quite right. The other player said that she always takes a variety of tensions with her just in case.

Within Rossendale all the public parks that had public tennis courts (i.e. free access) have all been taken over and refurbished with newly painted tarmac and new nets.
Along with this there is also coded entry gates, in order to access them you have to pay £6 for an hours prebooked session.

All this was paid for by a government grant to improve tennis playing in the community.

For a long time people either climbed over the fence or used whatever method they needed to, to open the gate from the inside.
No one was actually paying for the use of the courts that were given to the community.
Now one of the gates just opens, the other you can easily reach around.
Gets used alot more now.
We even get free tennis lessons on a Saturday morning.

The only Brit left in the tournament, Cam Norrie, has a reward for winning an epic 4th rd tie in facing the Wimbledon champion, Carloth Alcarath in the q.f - oh, well...and then there was none.

I watched the second ladies semi. Iga Swiatek just blasted the other woman off the court. I've never seen her interviewed before. She is so nice. Really funny and sweet and laughing.

Yes just watched it, was she really good or the other girl not so good? We will find out Saturday

If I changed into a women a reckon i could win Wimbledon, might do that next year...the 3 million quid would be handy

I suppose it's difficult to be certain. The other woman was a top player, but she is on the comeback trail after having a baby. The commentators seemed to think it was mainly Swiatek being good. Apparently, she's never really played well on grass before. But something has just clicked this year with her footwork and she's looking like a natural and really enjoying it. I'm looking forward to the final!
