John Torode sacked now.

JOHN Torode, the other one from MasterChef, has accused his former co-presenter Gregg Wallace of inventing an allegation of racist language to spite him.
Torode, known to British households as ‘the one with hair,’ is accused of using racist language six to seven years ago and immediately apologising, allegations he denies and has a strong idea exactly where they f**king came from.
He said: “That Millwall **** always said he wasn’t going down alone. Lo and behold, suddenly I’m the bad guy.
“Do I look like I’d say something racist? No. Do I look like I might accidentally say something that could be misconstrued as racist then apologise profusely? Yes. Oh, he’s clever.

“And now they’re asking me to leave? Who are they getting in, Noel ****ing Fielding? Can’t we just get another aggressive bald bloke and I’ll stand in the background as usual? It’s a combination that works.
“Still, I won’t deny I’m quite pleased to have been noticed. I don’t think it’s ever happened before.”
Wallace said: “Also he’s proper left-wing. A right little Gary Lineker. In fact I think I heard him say Israel’s gone a bit too far.”

In an Instagram post on Monday, Torode said the allegation was that he made the remarks in 2018 or 2019 and that he had apologised immediately afterwards.

However, the TV chef said he had "no recollection" of any of it, adding: "I do not believe that it happened."

Witch hunt, nothing more
If he didn't believe that it happened, why did he apologise immediately afterwards?

I'll lay good odds it's the compo culture that's driving it.
Somebody joins the staff of a tv production company, or applies to be a contestant in order to make up a claim for compensation? And the claim is about invented racsist language which is immediately apologised for? What’s the going rate for that then?

you're married, right, and still need to ask that??
An unconditional apology usually works wonders...
Yes, you're right. I am married.

I have been married twice and in relationships many times. But I have never been unfaithful, either in marriage or in a relationship.

It's not difficult to keep it in your pants and behave yourself.

To my mind, if you fancy someone else, enough and they are available, you would do the decent thing and break it off with your girlfriend or get a divorce.

Call me old fashioned.

The BBC are wringing their hands with diversity glee and this gives them the chance to "correct their mistake" in the presenters being too male and too white. Expect the incoming to be female and a person of colour.
I have tbh, sometimes I get a bit fed up with this take on things. Of course, sometimes it can be true i.e. folk given roles because they tick a box, however it then means whenever a non white person is given e.g. a presenting role, folk say 'ah well, we know why they got the job!'

What would make folk happy? Only white folk to be given all presenting and acting jobs?

Would either of those parameters be a problem for you, even if they were very good at what they do?
I have said before that my bets are on it being Monica - she is great. Other than that I like the program - maybe its the presenters I didn’t like- now gone so that all good, I might give it a try with new presenters

BBC have just announced new presenters for Masterchef:

I find all the ramped up drama annoying.

And people saying "Yes, chef" all the time.
