This waste pipe is leaking and dripping down onto the kitchen windowsill.

Do I have to dismantle it or can I reseal it somehow as it is?

Thanks very much and hope you can help.

Run a black polymer around like Stixall.

Will last a while but would be better to cut out and replace.

Might be a good idea to get a price to do it as a small job Vs buying solvent weld and fittings.

It probably got damaged in winter

Yeah. That tape will work but strech a bit as you go.
Will stick instantly.

Thanks for all your advice, really appreciate it.
Might give that tape a go and see how long it lasts.

One thing I can't wrap my head around though: when you say cut out and replace, which parts? Will the elbow need replacing too? Everything is joined together with solvent cement aren't they?

Thanks again.

Various ways you can do it.
Easiest and what I'd do is 2 x slip couplings, 1 x 135° elbow and a length of pipe.

Edit... Just seen it's 2 sizes so you'll need...
32mm slip coupling
Bit of 32mm pipe,
32-40mm reducer,
40mm 135° elbow,
Bit of 40mm pipe,
40mm slip coupling.

You make a normal coupling into a slip by filing out the ridge inside.

or cut the pipe between the Tee and elbow and you won't need any 40mm pipe. You would need one 40mm coupler and do the rest in 32mm pipe and fittings.

Fair point.
But still need slip couplings x2 as 2 fixed points... Can't slip on a conversion.
