UK business confidence hits decade high as optimism grows​

UK business confidence has reached its highest level since 2015, rising one point to 52% in July, according to the latest Lloyds Bank Business Barometer. This marks the third consecutive monthly increase, fuelled by improving trading prospects and growing economic optimism.

The latest data reveals:

• Business confidence rose to 52%, a 10-year high.
• Economic optimism reached an 11-month high at 47%, up two points.
• Hiring intentions surged, with 60% of firms planning to recruit in the next year.
• Price expectations remained elevated but steady, with a net 61% of businesses expecting to raise prices.
• Services sector confidence soared by 11 points to 61%, leading all sectors.

Sir Keir Starmer has claimed more than 24,000 people have been returned since Labour came to power.

out of a claimed 24,000 only about 6000 were told to go and many of these were given £3,000 and a free ticket as an enticement.

But the claim is misleading. The government's latest figures show that only 6,339 of these were "enforced returns"., external The majority were "voluntary returns" - and a significant number of these happen without the government's direct involvement or even knowledge.

I don't recall anything happening under the Tories.

This lot are still struggling to achieve much, but I do give them the recognition that they are trying things.

It might be more sensible, to deport the Labour MP's, and get some sensible politicians in that can do something.

What happens if one of them has a crash and injures a third party. Presumably, they are not insured. Would the other party be covered if they were injured etc.

Same applies to most cyclists , no insurance .
