Another record milestone for Labour. 50,000…

It's because they, government, either can't (due to legal restrictions) and/or don't want to properly resolve this. I'm sorry but I'll say it again, there's something very fishy going on with this whole thing. They tinker around the edges, announce each new piece of tinkering as something amazing and significant. Meanwhile, the boats keep on coming. Heck, those trying to get in or those recently arrived have been asked if these measures will stop them trying. 'No' is the answer.

I said in another thread, part of the challenge we've got ourselves into in the UK is the very laws and legislation brought in to protect us and others, yes including parts of the ECHR, can be counterproductive when we want to act on certain things. And no, in saying that, I'm not suggesting human rights be taken back to the dark ages, however in some areas we seem to have gone too far the other way.

Yes, we known Mr Albania is wanted for three rapes in his own country and has now raped two women here in the UK, however we can't deport him because he's ordered a new sofa that has a 15 week delivery time. He has a right to remain resident here until the sofa arrives, and then to get at least 6 months use of it before he'd be considered for deportation.

I'm being intentionally sarcastic, however you maybe get my point.

Nope, sorry, the project has to be put on hold. The building of the railway must wait.
Why?
Because a family of 7 lesser known spotted Ladybirds was discovered living directly in the path of the route.
But ... can't we move them?
Move them? MOVE THEM? How dare you suggest that.
So, what's the solution?
We're going to divert the route around their colony.
So what's the additional cost?
£150 million.

More that that unfortunately, you are being utterly ridiculous.

If labour don't improve things then they could be voted out. No one does that intentionally.

Yeah, they are running out of time to do more shĩt things to the electorate before trying to look the good guys in the run up to the next election…

Don't panic, the PM knows what he's doing...

One strategy the illegals might step up is the cluster approach. The so called 1 in 1 out deal is capped at 50 per week and only those who landed within 2 weeks will be eligible.

The illegals are simply taking the p++s out of the good, generous people of the UK. Drastic problems, demand drastic and urgent actions - yet no sign of either from the UK government, time for them to resign.

It does get tricky. What should we do with a genuine refugee who manages to get to the UK, but faces torture and execution in their own country.

Smash the gangs

It’s so easy to make promises on opposition but so hard to achieve anything in government

This seems to happen every time we have an election - why don’t they learn?

Let them in, and take care of them, but 99% of them are not refugees, they are economic migrants, taking advantage of our generous nature.

And the vast majority are young men.

However you look at this some serious thought needs to go on before things get right out of hand

This is where it becomes a never ending situation. Once they are here, I don't doubt the process to determine their genuineness can be complex and multi-faceted.

I think everybody agrees with that. If it was easy it would have been done years ago.
