“First safe country”

If you lived somewhere that was allegedly dangerous for you and your family to live in and the U.K. was the first safe country that you came to, would you leave your family there, in danger, and pay a trafficker to get you across the most dangerous shipping lane in the world and would you then keep going through numerous other safe countries until you got to the one with the best free benefits/healthcare/housing/education systems?

It is very difficult to know for sure what I would do. But if we all spoke French but no English and already had relatives in France, then I might consider making the crossing. France has a very similar package of support to the UK, so I don't think that would be a factor.

You didn’t think the question was a lie then, like Dense 1 did?

No, that isn't what lies means.

Why should we stop them coming when they provide a boost to our economy with huge amounts of additional money flooding in?

They also employ million of Brits, there is no downside.
Do share the evidence you have for the above or were you giving an example of a lie?

No I didn’t. Stop trying to change the question. I was asking Notch a question. I’m assuming he has a family. He swerved, you butted in, as usual, trying to take it off course.
You keep banging on about migrants leaving their families but don't know how many actually do, if any.

That's why it is a nonsensical question.

You can certainly take an educated estimate based on those who come.

I think as the man of the family, I would risk my life to get asylum. And then my family could join me in safety. But many on here seem unable to imagine doing the same.

There is no way I would abandon my family.

It is certainly a difficult choice. Leave your family in the relative safety of a refugee camp, or force them to undertake a perilous journey with the risk of death.
