With the benefit of hindsight a not guilty plea might have been better for her. Ricky Jones took that gamble and won.

On what basis is she being freed. The article doesn't seem to say. Is it a decision of the courts or the government. Have we bowed to pressure from a foreign government.

I think you can guess that she is freed under licence having served the appropriate portion of her sentence.

Thanks. I hadn't done the maths. In fact, what are the rules? There is remand to take into account.

yes. on Remand time is included in sentence served.

30 months was it? 40% of that is 12 months.

"set to walk free" lol.

Free of a prison record or the stigma or the risk of being brought back inside? Free my arse.

Not like you to be commenting on something you seemingly know nothing about

I am so confused! What have I done wrong now. I am asking for information about something I am not an expert in, from somebody more knowledgeable. Is that a crime in forum land.

Too early?
Not early enough?
Should never have happened in the first place?

I think this unfortunate episode in her life could well turn out to be very lucrative if she welcomes her 'notoriety'.
The negative slant thrusted squarely at 2tk's door is also much appreciated.
The poor woman certainly didn't deserve any of this, but hopefully she can now rebuild her life and must be elated to finally hug her 12yo daughter once again.
I wish her all the best.
Milk it for all you can, Lucy.

The main thing she was guilty of was "gross stupidity" in saying those things in the first place.
She had to go guilty - a non guilty would have greatly increased her sentence, as she knew she had no chance if it went to trial.

What do you reckon - interviews with her non stop on Farages GB News all day tomorrow ?

Let's face it, folk who have done far far worse have been able to make some £££ off the back of whatever they did, so I agree, if I were her I'd be getting an agent.

Can she do that if she is still on licence. If she claims she was not guilty, will she mess up her reduced sentence and her early release. Another question where @motorbiking will hopefully know the answer.
