2025 officially hottest year ever.

Another thread where Climate change deniers line up to say "no it isn't."
What a bore.
i think they are quite amusing - once upon a time people would pay to go to an asylum to look at mad people - just have to come onto DiyNot, sites full of conspiracy theory crack pots

I often wonder if i am the only entirely sane person on the planet

The climate is doing, what the climate has always done since the earth was formed, and will always do - changed. Nowt much anyone with anything sensible between their ears can do about it, so why beat yourself up, and life a miserable life trying? Fair enough, don't waste resources, don't make a mess of the planet.

Where are the conspiracy theories on this thread. Climate change is real.

I went abroad in 76 for a year so didn't directly experience it but everyone my age who experienced it maintains 76 was the hottest year ever.

Also seems odd calling 2025 as the hottest year ever 4 months before it's over. If they said 'driest year' that would make more sense.

I remember 76 for being weeks of not being able to sleep at night. Had a few warm nights this year, but nothing like that. Would agree about being a dry summer though. Haven't cut my lawn for 2 months - normally would be cutting it every couple of weeks in summer. Also watching cars drive over the parched grass on Clifton Downs and having dust clouds behind them as if they're in the Serengeti. Was definitely a dry one.

Makes up for last years washout.
