Starmy must have been using re forms due diligence software when Mandy passed all the checks. Kieth should refer himself to the Sir Maggnus. Clear case of not keeping to the highest possible standards. I suspect Mandy will stay to avoid embarrassing Trumpf.
If we're being honest about it, through history there have been cases (proved or suspected) of groups of rich powerful (usually) men who've sexually exploited woman and sometimes kids.
When the heat gets too close, cue instigation of operation cover-up, made all the easier because they're rich, connected etc.
I remember a man being interviewed who'd been abused as a kid by a child sex ring. When asked what he thought could be done to stop such crimes he answered 'when you consider those involved are from the highest judges to the lowest factory worker ... nothing.'

and as per Rayner, Starmer supports him way beyond the point that it was clear he was going to have to go.
Bad judgement in appointing him in the first place, and bad judgement in either not sacking him straight away or fully standing by him. By dithering, he's just made himself look weak, again.
It was Trump thing. Maybe he thought Mandelson would understand a convicted felon, rapist and nailed on perv, better than anyone.
