Trumps Gaza peace deal?

Although it's to be expected, something that's been frustrating is people not wanting to accept more than one thing can be true at the same time.

For example, the October 7th attacks were abhorrent and indefensible. That is true.

It is also true that it is tragic for any innocent people killed on the Palestinian side after this date until the present day. By innocent I mean those too young to have any skin in the game i.e. kids and adults that have no support for Hamas whatsoever.

However, and I saw it on a news prog earlier today, whenever people try to mention the second of my above points, this often gets shouted down, with people referring back to October 7th.

As I say, it is completely understandable why many do this, especially those with skin in the game, however the lack of acknowledgement that more than one thing can be true in these situations is as I say, frustrating.

Politics is a funny business, will there be peace because Trumpf has been tipped the wink that he’ll get the peace prize ?

If he gets the leaders to face war charges, then he might deserve it.

Until then, not due, in my eyes.

Watching some of the celebratery footage from Gaza last night - Everyone seems fit and well, no signs of 'the starving' they seemed well dressed, clean clothes, sharp haircuts - so much for the claims of a forced famine... Is it really as bad as some would want us to believe ?... where are they all charging their mobile phones ? thought there was no electric,

we need to see the bigger picture and not be swept along by our far left wokey media

A lot of what you said makes sense, but I don't dismiss it all, yet. We haven't seen the full details that might yet emerge.

And then we get to your last paragraph. You do realize our media is heavily right wing ? Yes there are a few left biased outlets, but the bulk of the mass media is definitely right wing. World wide too, not just UK.

Same struck me, I was taken aback by the number of 'skin fade' haircuts. It's totally irrelevant to everything that's happened and I'm not saying they shouldn't be well groomed but it just made it look slightly surreal.

On a serious note, I think we do need an independent assessment of casualty and fatality figures as well as more detailed info on the starvation claims.

I wouldn't trust Israel for for an independent assessment, the UN even less so.

Of course you would think that UN is less trustworthy than Israel, Netanyahu told you so.
You're so biased that you've dismissed any authoritative assessment before it's even been discussed.

I just don't think that an organisation that teaches children hatred of Israel and had boots on the ground during the October 7th invasion could be deemed 'independent'.

You didn't mention Hamas in your previous post. But the same applies to Israelis. Some of the Israeli casualties on October 7th were killed by IDF. And Israelis teach hatred of Palestinians to their children also.
At least 14 Israeli civilians were killed by the IDF's use of the Hannibal Directive
You're welcome to your opinion. The opinion of someone who refuses to see the difference in these photos:
