Riello Pump ID

If they are suitable for automotive use I would have expected them to be ok with heating oil. I presume you aare referring to my first link.

It depends on where on an automotive, I would never use nitrile, near oil, or fuel. Viton O rings are the ones needed, if you want them to last.

I will if that's possible. Like I said it appears that you need a trade account. What is it that I need exactly?

Part number 3007029 description
Riello Stem O ring.
Just pretend your trade and open account they almost certainly won't check.
Are you certain this is correct? I ask because I enquired about this part number to an ebay seller and they said it's not suitable.

I go to trouble to enquire get you the information now you try to save coppers by using eBay!
As I said previously we'd just change part.
I'm out of here.
No that's not how it is. I asked an ebay seller about the part BEFORE I asked here;

OK thanks. Yes I've gathered that engineers change the whole part, but I'm not an engineer I'm just someone fixing their own who simply needs an o ring. I'm not using bio fuels.
Evertbody on oil is using Bio fuels. It is the industry standard.
'cribbing' is moaning or arguing about a situation. As I said, you know where to get the proper O ring, it just seems you think you should be able to use a cheaper one.

No, I don't know where to get the proper O ring. I only know where to get a new pump or stem along with the O ring, when I only need an O ring. My gripe is that I can't buy an O ring AT ALL, not that I want to use a cheaper one. If I knew which O ring to get, I wouldn't be asking here.

Also for reference for anybody else reading this in the future, while I appreciate Exedon's help, I contacted the supplier he suggested who told me that part 3007029 is not correct and that they can only supply it with a new stem.

If you disregard the advice of an experienced engineer who did the donkey work for you, and wish to rely on the advice of a parts sales assistant without any experience, then that is your prerogative.
People on here with the knowledge and experience are quite willing to offer advice, all in good faith, and often meet with such put downs as yours. No doubt you will now air grievances about my replies.
