Motability Cars

Maybe if they can't simply get round your machine they don't like having to sit there for 15 minutes waiting.
I'd be more than a bit peeved if someone was blocking the foothpath for 15 minutes, and I had to wait in my wheelchair or even worse had to stand for 15 minutes!
I think it would be good to have a face to face with the idiot that thought he could block the pavement for 15 minutes and the young mothers and the disabled would not mind waiting in the cold or the heat.
Meanwhile the car drivers would be sitting in their air conditioned cars, or with the heater on, listening to their favourite music with the windows up, and not a care in the world.

I am not so easily convinced, about the age factor... Remember, unless you are already in receipt of PIP, at retirement, you cannot then get the PIP. The PIP, also, opens the door to lots of other discounts.
But those already getting the benefit are also growing older, and living longer.

Would you be peeved if that 15 minute blockage was because someone was carrying out essential and necessary work to your property?

But not the basic car. Nice, a subsidised luxury motor.
I recall you boasted about getting taxpayers money for work you weren't going to do...

Then laughed about playing the system and getting taxpayers money that you didn't need, then spending it on holidays and a car...

And you have the gall to have a go at disabled people who are getting a helping hand...

Some people have no shame!

Which doesn't really address the question - How come those who get the PIP before they retire still keep the PIP after they retire, but if you begin to need PIP after you reach retirement, then you cannot have it?

You seem to think this proves something.

Taking advantage of a failed system doesn't mean you have to agree with it.

If everyone else is doing it then you might as well join them. Don't blame people for taking advantage of whatever's waved in front of them.

We got lots of govt money for our heat pump. I'd have bought one without but they were giving money away so I took it. But it's still wrong.

It shows that people such as mottie are selective with whom they believe should get 'subsidies'...

And he clearly agreed with the system, since he has posted about his disappointment at payments coming to an end and looking forward to the next round!

You have to ask why people think that way...

Because the only sure thing is that the longer it carries on, the worse the situation will get...

And that is irrespective of who is in power!

If the system's wrong then don't blame the people benefitting from it.

Blame the people in charge of it.

I claimed furlough, even though I thought it was a ridiculous reckless waste of money. But if they're giving money away and I qualify I'll bloody well take my slice of the pie.

Yeah. Furlough. Millions of us got it. Money for not working. What’s your problem - that I got it or that I was happy that I got it?

I'm not sure hwm has the right to impede pedestrians without making some provision for them to get past.

Traffic is a different issue
