Correct (even though I didn't know that till recently).

If like Notch you have a £100k knocking about, you can split that into two equal tranches and both adults in the household can invest it in PB's.

But, there is a chance you can win a lot more. People who buy Premium Bonds do it for the fun, or possibility of winning. Its not done as an investment...

That is true, but its also not half bad if you have to pay 40 or 45% tax on savings.
