Is it possible to have more than 50k in premium bonds

Whichever way it was written and then perceived i think it is plain to see that Notch was referring to his other half buying PB's. Its pointless arguing over what was written now. Lets move on my dear friends....(y)(y)(y)
like a dog with a bone eh.
Woof! :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

So the outcome of this is that your wife can have 50k and you can have 50k but you cannnot add a further 50k in either of your names ?

Correct (even though I didn't know that till recently).

If like Notch you have a £100k knocking about, you can split that into two equal tranches and both adults in the household can invest it in PB's.

I had no need to explain it

its more fun having you grizzle about it
because you couldn't explain it.
for a lawyer you do struggle with English

I never suggested this
"I'm getting another £50k of premium bonds which will count on next months draw."
you cant make the above assumption from this
Do feel free to explain how you imagined it would work.. though its a bit late now.

So if you have 100k invested in bonds I fail to see the excitement of winning £50?
But, there is a chance you can win a lot more. People who buy Premium Bonds do it for the fun, or possibility of winning. Its not done as an investment... (y)

That is true, but its also not half bad if you have to pay 40 or 45% tax on savings.

because you couldn't explain it.
Nor does he need to.

The concept is easy to grasp...

...Notch and his missus have £100k in PB's - prior to having £100k they only had £50k - they won a £50 prize.

You do not need any more information than that.
