The GD forum is overwhelmingly right wing Trumpf supporters, even after the more unacceptable stuff is banned. Diynot is almost unique in having a counter to that stuff.

Unfortunately there are a couple of rogues, who have been trusted with special privileges They very occasionally, cross the line and less and less to be fair. I've not experienced much of it myself, but they seem to want to control the narrative.

Some posters Trolling and open abuse is ignored. Either the sensitive trolls report every minor issue or there are rogue behaviours at play.

Just tried to post a picture of a beautiful Victorian Son-T lamp that I am repairing in a snowstorm at 10 metres only to find that I am banned from my today’s job? No reason to why. A perfectly legitimate thread showing everyone’s work. Spiteful?

I don’t know either way for fact, but I am not convinced there are special privileges for any posters. The forum is run for profit and as with social media gent - insta X for example, conflict, and strong distressing or just plain irrational views generate ad revenue. Look at the conspiracy theorists in Americu who are hugely wealthy from this.
