I wonder if the monument adjustable one would work, failing that armed jaw dropper or crows foot type obtaining the correct size.

As I said above.
Adjustable spring basin wrench.
It's probably the easiest of everything.
Maybe you're thinking about a adjustable wrench? No .. not that.
Never get that in
No suitable size .I wonder if the monument adjustable on oils work, failing that armed jaw dropper or crows foot type obtaining the correct size.

What about the Monument one or Armeg jaw dropper? No suitable size .

No room to turn that .There are plenty of a available wrenches.
This one for example will tackle a 50mm nut.

Can’t use box spanner tap tails prevent its use .@foxhole
Would need to be the correct size box spanner then.
Measure and find out the size required.

Backnut Spanner
Fits 50mm A/F and 46mm A/F brass and nylon nutsNB: Some modern waste backnuts are slightly larger than 50mm and will need filing to fit and nut must be hexagonal not octagonalwww.toolstation.com
The tails have to pass thru the nut , washer, the loose threaded tube and sink before the tails screw into tap base while above the sink, then tightened and threaded sleeve tightens over the tails .Why do the flexi tails need to be fitted first? Don't they have o-rings? If yes, can't you tighten them by hand after the event?
BTW, as you know, I am not a plumber. Best of luck.
