Spur from light switch

I have a double switch in my hallway. Upstairs and downstairs hallway lights. I was hoping to spur off it it for the outside light. However, I thought I could use a fused spur, but I am unable to make it work.

Here is the current double switch attached. I thought I could take on of the cables from the switch plug in to a fused switch and them run a cable from the same points on the spur and then back to the switch. Does not work.

Anyone have any ideas how I can wire from this socket to an outside light ideally with a switch in-between so I can turn it on/off as well

You can't as there isn't a neutral.

I always thought black/blue was neutral and red/brown was live. On that basis, I thought it could be done. Are you saying live wires only in this switch ?

Thank you. My apologies for the post. I should have done more research. I can now see how these switches and lights work ( I think).

Yes a black or blue wire doesn't automatically mean neutral, the blacks in your picture are live or switched live wires they should have red sleeving on but some people forget to do that or cant be ars£d

The colours are used for those purposes where appropriate but this is just a switch.

Yes, they are all what we call 'Line' as technically Neutrals are live as well.
