Commie central control update: Flags

My local t'pub has always placed a BIG xmas tree outside & it has always been blown down & collapsed at some point over the holiday. This year it was decided that maybe it wasn't a good idea to place a BIG tree out there but instead substitute it with a simple pole with a web of LED lights that might mimic a real tree with lots of lights . . . It still blew down.

Oh god here we go.

C'mon - don't be like that, it was a perfectly good question.

It's reasonable to assume that Spline's use of "brandish" was pejorative, and he didn't approve of them doing it

Pakistan is a country with whom we are officially friendly, Istehkam-e-Pakistan is a legitimate political party, and we've got to assume that the conference event was being lawfully staged. Given their demeanour, those police officers were not there to arrest someone, so it may have been a PR presence, maybe they were recruiting, maybe there'd been racist or Islamophobic threats and they were there for security or reassurance.

So it's also quite reasonable to ask Spline why he objects to a few police officers posing for a photo holding the Pakistani flag.

Livery can affect your car insurance.

I had a car once with a livery consisting of mostly the maker's original colour, with iron oxide highlights, some primer grey and a few unpainted spots of Plastic Padding. For a while (following an unfortunate incident we don't talk about) it had a boot lid in a completely different colour.

The "ally" Pakistan, and its people, is Britain's biggest enemy. Not Russia, China or America. Pakistan.

Your unsubstantiated opinion does not change the reality of international relations.

So given the reality, why should those police officers not have posed for that photo?

He does not need to tell his insurance ref a flag ;)

What about a missile launcher?
