I've not read that version. But I think it's just standard authoritarian regime spin. Notice that report is from Fox News. Trump does it every time somebody resigns. These are the people who called Renee a terrorist. The same happened when the National Opera decided to quit the Kennedy Centre. The regime claimed that they had asked them to leave.
