How do you make tea?

Bag in cup, add boiled water (a couple of seconds after kettle has boiled) , milk in straight away, then leave for 7 minutes, then take tea bag out.Drink when it is at a temperature you like. As a result of having tea made for me while working, and leaving it until it was convenient to drink it, I have it barely like warm.

When first i had the good fortune and blessing to meet Herself, she introduced me to Chinese tea. Pop one in a glass teapot and watch the flower unfurl before your very eyes. Wait five or ten minutes and pour slowly into a china cup - not a mug, for a light, refreshing brew. They all have subtle qualities but my favourite became Chysanthemum; a delicious flavour and a beautiful flower.

ooffff no sorry disgusting & stewed IMO
I don't care for strong or stewed either, but since the bag has made one cup before being dropped in the flask with two cups of water, its may be just too weak to become stewd

I smoked Hoggar not Camel made Capstan full strength seem weak.

As to making tea, as said, where does milk come into it? One does not put milk into tea, it removes the goodness.
I went through a phase of smoking Camels after a trip to NYC in '81 - they were the only thing close enough to the Embassy #1 i smoked at the time but with a rougher edge. I kinda got used to 'em for a couple years til i switched to rollies. American ciggies are remarkably mild in general, and their mild brands, like Kent, have so little substance i wasn't aware of smoking anything.

Tea n' tobacco are still my favoured fuel to get through any given day.

I often drink mine up to an hour after Mrs Mottie has made me a cuppa. I can drink it stone cold. I like iced lemon tea too.

Is it wrong that when your guests insist on a brew, that you chuck a tea bag in a mug filled with water & give it 2mins in the microwave?

It's not like they have any kind of palate is it?

Boiling water to warm cup. Discard

Reboil kettle and add bag and water together.

Stir.

Leave for four minutes to mash.

Bag out.

Add milk.

No lemon?

Yes, if we're making cold black tea on purpose in the summer.

The key with black tea it to use water that is quite a lot cooler than for tea with milk. Probably 20C cooler. It stops most of the tannins coming out of the tea and making it hideously bitter. The difference is amazing.
