Unfortunately I'm still in the process of unpicking the nightmares the previous builder (who I had to let go), left behind.
Looking back at photos and footage, I've noticed that there is no vertical DPC between the single skin outside garage wall (brick) and the internal block wall (shown here midway being built).
I am concerned about penetrating damp in the future.
The rest of the single brick wall will get a scratch coat render before being studded, insulated, VCL'd and plaster boarded.
Can anyone recommend what I can do to rectify this please? Is it a case of retro fitting a vertical DPC or are there alternatives which don't require drastic action? (One thing I was planning to do in the spring/ summer was to apply Stormdry to the outside of this wall given it's single skin).
