Absolutely I am. Not talking about the far right extremists but certainly the left wing are particularly violent.

So the things which Elsa TLC said we should worry about:

If the flags get taken down, there will be another form of protest.

Then the protest will go on and on until the left understand, and it will be alot more than a few plastic flags.

You need to stop worrying about plastic flags. If its stopped something else will turn up and it will be more than some harmless flags.

Sadly some choose to fly a Palestinian flag over our own union flag. That shows a lefty view and is not the majority of the UK.

One factual error is the suggestion that councils are replacing flags. Not true, they have simply removed them on highway safety grounds. It may be different in your area but that is because your council is making a political decision not to upset the reformists.

That was the stance after two of our lads were greeted by a mob of psychos and threatened with their lives if they took them down. We all refused to take them down and so the council took this stance. Then we all had a meeting over it and were told what I posted on here.

Thanks, that's very interesting. I hadn't really thought of the danger posed to those who have the task of taking them down.

Is that what is important to you? One lad had to leave the job as they tracked him down over Facebook to his house and threatened him and his family. He was a great lad but he said he wasn’t paid enough for this.

How do you know that the people who put them up chose to do so "over" putting up the Union flag?

i.e. how do you know that they made a decision to fly those flags in preference to flying the Union flag?

How do you know that they didn't put them up for a specific Palestine-related reason for which it would have made no sense to put up Union flags?
