Bus driver sacked OMG

And still no source. let me help you with the parts that are fact and opinion

Nothing wrong with opinions per se - people give them all the time. You do.

Some people give theirs freely, others charge a great deal of money for them.

Some are worth more than others.

It would be useful to know the origin(s) of the ones noseall is quoting. Are they, for example, from a firm of criminal law solicitors, who provide references to statutes and precedents to back them up? Or are they from an internet search engine's AI tool in which case we might like to arrange an emergency delivery from Saxo?

Yep, go back to that head-slap moment when chicken biker read this...

What if I chase them as they run off?
This situation is different as you are no longer acting in self-defence and so the same degree of force may not be reasonable. However, you are still allowed to use reasonable force to recover your property and make a citizen's arrest. You should consider your own safety and, for example, whether the police have been called. A rugby tackle or a single blow would probably be reasonable. Acting out of malice and revenge with the intent of inflicting punishment through injury or death would not.

Chasing a fleeing suspect with a weapon and subsequently using it is highly likely to be considered malice, revenge, or retaliation rather than self-defence in legal terms, particularly if the initial threat has passed.

Wrong law dummy

I think he is saying that, as he was turning around to get back on the bus, he saw out of the corner of his eye that the thief was about to throw a punch, so he turned back round and decked him.
Yes so that seems reasonable to me what do you think?
