Lighting Circuit

Another consideration is that if you have a light with more than one bulb in it, you might with a bit of rewiring be able to switch them independently if you have two switched lives.

I've got a bathroom light with 2 bulbs - quick bit of work to the innards separated the two holders, and now I have a low-wattage bulb and a normal, independently switched, so I can have a dimmer light for nocturnal visits.

(No, John - that's not the one I was moaning about).

Dont forget Fanlights in bedrooms etc - some have two SW Lines (one for lighting and one for Fan) some just have one for both and them again some of those have one connection in the fanlight that can be easy to split, so your post has these merits too :giggle:

Yes I have done exactly the same twice (although adding a 10mm WW LED rather than converting) in a bathroom and a landing light which are left on all night for youngsters.

.As suppose that thanks to Smart Switches etc that on the lighting side at least the only requirement for chasing and cables might be the odd one or two for suply from floor to floor and for wall lights etc almost halfingBrings near the day of first fixing and plastering ever so closer to the end - isnt life and inventions and serendipities truly amazing?
