Anyone know where I can buy a 2 pin plug, shaver style plug, so that I can re-wire my electric razor? I've searched everywhere (B&Q, Screwfix, Maplin, and RS) and no-one sells these. Why not?

Any ideas? Seems all I can do is buy a 3 pin plug, but then I can't use my shaver socket in the bathroom!!!

Hey Guy's

How do i wire up a shaver point.
Getting fed up charging the toothbrush up in the kitchen, lol.

Many thanks yet again

They are very similar, maybe even identical to a european 2 pin plug aren't they?

Maybe you could get one from France or similar.

RS etc. supply moulded shaver plugs with leads, but I haven't seen a re-wireable plug anywhere in this country.

Holy Thread Resurrection Batman!

I wonder if anyone here can shed any light on a rewireable shaver plug?
All the above links no longer work.
I have need of one.

Cheers.

The closest I'm aware of is

It's a Europlug not a UK shaver plug, but most UK shaver sockets will also accept Europlugs. Also they don't seem massively clear on exactly what tool should be used for crimping, you may need to email them and ask.
Thanks but when I looked on Amazon and looking at the Europlug they often say it is not suitable for shaver sockets.
There is the Type C Europlug but that too I'm told is not suitable.
I think it's due to thinner pins.

EBay is the place for a used one.

Depends on the age of the socket.

1960s aren’t comparable with euro
It's a new socket, I'm also after a new rewireable plug not a used one 8)
On Ebay it says nothing about compatibility to a shaver socket.
