Hi, just got an Elica Cooker hood.. it has a 2 pin plug though, like you find on shaver sockets.. does that mean I need to use a shaver wallplate to plug it into? or do I just cut the plug off and wire it in as normal.

It won't be the same as a shaver plug - almost, but not quite, and if you jam it into a shaver socket you might damage it, or the socket, or both.

Cut it off, or get one of these:

Strange why its fitted with that plug in the first place.. presumebly its for another europeon country or something then.
