We're paying them to breed. Which the tories stopped and Labour are re-starting.
The benefit cap didn't actually stop people having children. It just meant that lots of children had much worse lives.

Correct. The same logic doesn't apply today, we have a surplus of unskilled labour but are still importing more.
There are wonkier less logical thought processes driving decisions today, policy has become idealogical rather than logical. As Blair said, rubbing our faces in immigration. They want to beat the British population into submission, divide and conquer us.
I agree. We are not importing unskilled labour as such, because they have no need to work. The country (we) are supporting them for absolutely no return, presumably to make the government look nice and helpful. I'm sure that they cannot foresee the future.I don't think we are importing unskilled labour these days. The rules are complex, but I am pretty sure you need a work visa.

Mostly. But then the entire family follows. We end up providing massive levels of support to get one worker, it doesn't make any sense.I don't think we are importing unskilled labour these days. The rules are complex, but I am pretty sure you need a work visa.
I'm not sure. Short-term it's not going to make much difference. Longer term I'm sure it does. But I'm sure lots of lefty state-funded bodies have produced "research" claiming otherwise. The benefit cap didn't actually stop people having children. It just meant that lots of children had much worse lives.

If we're going to state-subsidise people to move here and do work then we'd be better off having the state subsidise british workers - perhaps a free bus pass, relocation, training, whatever. Spend money that actually results in a long term gain.
Christianity is a Middle Eastern religion as are Islam and Judiasm.Church-going Christianity was fading from our lives.
You've never noticed a tendency for people complaining about "illegal migrants" to also go on about their race, their religion, the negative views they have about what those mean for their "culture", their negative views on what they mean for "the survival of the white English", and so on?
What about Jewish religious courts.Shutting down Sharia courts
I thought the justification was that there wasn't enough indigenous labour available to do all the jobs that needed done.Is there any justification at all to import low/un-skilled people
When I was younger I thought it was obvious that all dogmatic religious belief was fading into the background and we were all becoming a mixed bag of assorted humans.Christianity is a Middle Eastern religion as are Islam and Judiasm.
If Christianity fades away and Islam takes over, then we will just be exchanging one set of Middle Eastern religious fruitcakes for another.
I would prefer Buddhism to replace Christianity personally.
Fine, shut them all down. If they're calling themselves a court and issuing orders then they have no place in our society. What about Jewish religious courts.
They operate along the same lines as Sharia courts.
Both have no legal standing in UK law BTW.
Any judgements they make are not legally enforceable.

And they need the agreement of all relevant parties to be subject to those courts. What about Jewish religious courts.

Which I'm assuming is coerced. Agree unless you want to be excluded from your community or otherwise shunned in some way.And they need the agreement of all relevant parties to be subject to those courts.
