Hi all

I'm having compression issues with my front door - big draft, bits of water getting in the track. You can feel it isn't tight enough when you shut it.

Keeps - I've tried adjusting all of them (there's three) in each direction, but no luck. Managed to make it worse, then reverted, but neither direction seems to make it as tight as it should be (currently left them in the middle). I believe the closer in the direction of the house - the tighter it should be? That doesn't seem to be happening with mine, though. That makes me think it may be the cams...

Cams - it's an XL Crimebeater multi-lock and it has seven of the square shaped holes. I've ordered a square allen set, but I'm not sure which of these needs to be adjusted - any ideas? I'm led to believe this is likely to be the solution - I just want to make sure I'm doing the right thing (and I assume clockwise, when I do identify the right one/s?) Pictures of all of these attached as well.

Thanks!

Which camshaft are you thinking of adjusting ? I can only see hooks in ypur pics. Im guessing as you mention you've adjusted the keeps that you know full compression isnt actually achieved until the handle is pulled up and the lock engaged? ( you'd be surprised how many don't know this )

Ha, I do!

It turns out, after more investigation, there aren't cams to adjust in this design.

I'll have another go with the keeps, I can't quite figure out the direction to make the compression better with them at the moment - seems whichever way I try makes it worse or stay the same. Gonna be some trial and error, I think (assuming they are indeed the problem).

It may be that the adjusting screw for the keeps are on a cam and thus move the keep completely in and thn out ( if that makes sense ). The keeps need to move closer to the inside of the house. Small adjustments is the key
