In 1982 it was the BBC who informed the world that the Argentinian bombers were not fuzing their bombs correctly during the Falklands War.
Here they are again telling the world where the US Navy is as they prepare for potential action.

When you consider that Trump is already suing the BBC over the Panorama debacle, you would have thought BBC would not annoy him further!!

Open source intelligence, the rest of the world knows, in fact Trumpf will be grateful for the pressure it puts on Teyran.

As for the bombs, it would have been pretty clear to the Argies. Plus the Beeb had to clear its reporting with the government.

Do you imagine for one second, one of the worlds leading news agencies would refrain from criticising or angering one of the words' nuttiest murderous dictators - just because he chose to sue them?

The BBC owe nothing to the crooked orange rapist and will still be calling out fruitcake world leaders, long after he's gone.

In general the threat to sue may affect the way they report stuff

Why wouldn't it

Not especially, no. The threat is constant in their business. The BBC are well aware of the boundaries and how they see fit to push.
Why wouldn't it
With people like Trump that sue at the drop of a hat? There would be zero reporting in that case, if news agencies clammed up just because the subject got his arris in his hands.

The BBC will go on editing, criticising and angering Trump.

I thought the information was openly available on various ship tracking sites, I might be wrong.
They had switched their AIS off funnily enough.

Boundaries change

The BBC may or may not change their reporting depending on the legal advise and legal threat level etc

It cannot be definitively said there will be no change in coverage

Your post sounds like hate speech and incitement violence. Wonder if the website is ok with this.

Perhaps there is no armada after all? It certainly fooled those tracking the Global Sumud Flotilla.
No they actually did switch their AIS off, rather than saying they had, when they hadn't. The problem with intending to switch AIS off and then forgetting, is it shows where you really are not where you want to pretend you are.
